Twilight in France
My dad seems to have decided to make a habit of, whenever he goes to a different country, bringing one of the twilight saga back in the native language. After his recent trip to Paris, I now have two of the saga.
Twilight in French
and
New moon in Swedish.
I wonder what language the next book will be in! I’m having a better time making sense of the french book because of two reasons:
1) I practically know twilight by heart because I’ve re-read it 53 times back in my really twilight obsessed days ( New moon was too depressing, since Bella just moped and betrayed Jacob for most of the book.)
2) I took french as my language elective.
Anyway, I don’t know a word of swedish, but attempting to read Twilight in french is an interesting diversion.

I wonder if they have “Eclipse” in Austalian English? Example: “Blimey, galah! Did you seriously just stamp your bloody foot? I thought spewin’ Sheilas only did that rubbish in the movies?”

I’ve read about half of the first Harry Potter book in French. It is much easier when you know the book well, especially for those verb tenses that only appear in writing (which I forget the name of right now).
Are the covers the same in French and Swedish?

Yes they are, but the back covers don’t translate the same.

I’m just guessing as to how Australians talk! We’ll see soon enough when we read Aussie Eclipse.
