Blue is for Nightmares:spooky but a seriously cool book

Blue is for nightmares by Laurie Stolarz is a book that I was reminded of when I was watching the episode Killed by Death (From Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Click the link to watch on Hulu). Anyway, this is a really wonderful series which is fantasy despite a lack of vampires, zombies, or the undead in any way, shape or form.

The main charecter and protagonist Stacy is having nightmares again, this time about her best friend Drea instead of a little girl named Maura. She knows from experience that her nightmares are a warning of things to come, and her fears are doubled when she sees white lilies in them: the flower of death. In reality, she learns that her friend has been talking on the phone to a mysterious stalker, and recieving e-mails from the same. Nobody believes her when she says Drea’s in danger…until another girl is killed. Stacy has no choice but to turn to the magic her grandmother taught her because she can’t afford to be to late…when her friend’s life is the cost.

I would give this book a 9 on the scale. I really love the entire series, and they only get better as the series progresses, unlike many other books. A truly magnificent piece of literature, one that I would recommend to anybody…though I suggest not reading it at night.
